Carl is a recognized force in music technology marketing with over 16 years of experience in bringing empowering solutions to music makers and music listeners. He was recently the Vice President of Marketing for Cakewalk, Inc. a leading provider of music software and hardware, and in the past worked in Internet broadcasting and for A&M and New World Records. In addition to his work at Nimbit, Carl is also a producer for
Masters of Sound, a weekly television series currently in development whose mission is to bring the producers and engineers of recorded sound from behind-the-scenes and into the spotlight. In his career, Jacobson has been blessed to help musical legends such as Ray Charles in the creation of their music; charities and television shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition to benefit at risk youth and disabled musicians; and industry giants such as Gibson, Intel, and Microsoft in bringing their solutions to the music marketplace. In 2006, Carl's work was spotlighted in Kevin Roberts' book The Lovemarks Effect.
